​LAFFAN REFINERY​​​​​​

Laffan Refinery (LR)​ is a key part of Qatar's strategic vision to process and add value to the field condensate produced from the QatarEnergy LNG operated facilities. With two world-class refineries located in Ras Laffan Industrial City, QatarEnergy LNG is one of the largest condensate processors in the world.​​

Laffan Refinery was established in 2006 to build and own a refinery in Ras Laffan for the operation of refinery facilities and the production, sale and marketing of refined products. Laffan Refinery’s total processing capacity is 306,600 barrels per stream day (BPSD) following the merger between LR1 and LR2 on 1 February 2023. Laffan Refinery’s ​shareholders are: QatarEnergy (72%), ExxonMobil (10%), TotalEnergies (10%), Cosmo Oil (5.5%), Mitsui (2.5%).
