Qatargas participated in the 30th edition of the Gastech Conference and Exhibition, held from September 17 to 20, 2018 in Barcelona, Spain. Qatargas' delegation was led by Khalid bin Khalifa Al Thani, Qatargas Chief Executive Officer, and consisted of senior officials from the company. During the conference, a joint technical paper on the 'Unique Excursions from the typical Hydrocarbon Vapour-Liquid separation characteristics' was presented by Salihin Mohammed Ismail, Senior Unit Engineer and Hamad Salman Al-Mohannadi, Surveillance Engineer from the Engineering Department. The paper explored the technicalities behind the hydrocarbon vapour – liquid separation. Throughout the exhibition, Qatargas showcased the capabilities and talent of the Qatari energy industry alongside Qatar Petroleum. The highlight of the exhibition was a walkway banner that illustrated Qatargas' growth and journey from inception to become the world's largest LNG producer today. With more than 30,000 visitors and 700 exhibitors at this years' event, Gastech is a key event for the international oil and gas industry, and a global meeting place for energy professionals working in the natural gas industry.
