    ABOUT QATARENERGY LNG

    QatarEnergy LNG is a unique global energy operator in terms of size, service and reliability. We operate 14 liquefied natural gas (LNG) trains with a total annual production capacity of 77 million metric tonnes.

    Established in 1984, QatarEnergy LNG helps develop and produce hydrocarbons from the world’s largest non-associated natural gas field.

    Today, QatarEnergy LNG continues to set the benchmark in the LNG industry, as it safely and reliably produces affordable, lower-carbon energy which provides access to energy to billions around the globe.​

    KEY FACTS AND FIGUR​ES​​​​

    In 2018, Qatargas merged with RasGas, creating an unrivalled energy operator in terms of size, service and reliability. In September 2023, Qatargas rebranded to become QatarEnergy LNG. ​

    QatarEnergy LNG has a total LNG production capacity of 77 million metric ​tonnes per annum (MTPA).

    QatarEnergy LNG manages and operates:

    • 14 LNG trains, six of which are mega trains, each with a production capacity of 7.8 MTPA​​
    • Two domestic sales gas production facilities
    • Two condensate refineries
    • Three helium production facilities
    • A jetty boil-off recovery facility​
    • The Ras Laffan Terminal Operations.
